Express Yourself - Characters Who Should Have A Series/Stand-Alone

Express Yourself  is a weekly meme hosted by myself and Jackie. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better by being nosey of course.

Each week we will find something different to post about. It will correlate with writing, blogging, and life in general. Then, we hope, you’ll follow suit and post what it is that motivates you.

This weeks question:

Feb. 23-27:  Name a secondary character who you think deserves their own series/stand-alone.

Morpheus of Wonderland from A.G. Howard's Splintered series. Novella's are ok but I want a whole series about him and his wickedly lovely ways.

Lettie Hempstock from The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. I would love to know what she and her witchy ways were up to when she wasn't around protecting the "Nameless Boy".

Express Yourself - Apocalyptic Scenario

Express Yourself  is a weekly meme hosted by myself and Jackie. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better by being nosey of course.

Each week we will find something different to post about. It will correlate with writing, blogging, and life in general. Then, we hope, you’ll follow suit and post what it is that motivates you.

This weeks question:

Feb. 16-20: What is your favorite kind of apocalyptic scenario (natural disaster, zombie, alien invasion, etc.)?
~ Question submitted by Laura @ Writing off the Edge

This is a great question!

We all know apocalyptic is my favorite genre, and that I LOVE zombies... but I'm not too sure I would really want to run... and run... and run for my life constantly.

I think (if I survived) a natural disaster would be more of the ideal scenario to try to survive through. Cardio isn't really my thing and alien's would most likely be more superior to us and that thought just scares the bejeezus out of me.

I would love to see what it would be like in a zombie infested world... wait let me clarify that... I would want Walking Dead zombies, not the fast ones in World War Z or 28 Weeks Later. Like I said, cardio isn't my thing.

But in the end (pun intended), I'd rather have a chance to thrive in a natural disaster... I think, depending on the "disaster". Ugh, they all have their pros and cons.

What kind of scenario would you rather live in?

Express Yourself - Chemistry

Express Yourself  is a weekly meme hosted by myself and Jackie. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better by being nosey of course.

Each week we will find something different to post about. It will correlate with writing, blogging, and life in general. Then, we hope, you’ll follow suit and post what it is that motivates you.

This weeks question:

Feb. 9-13: List your favorite book pairs who have amazing chemistry. They can be BFF's, love interests, kindreds, or even nemesis's. Two people who work well together.

Oh man this is hard...

There are SO many partnerships who go together like PB&J.

I adore Alyssa and Morpheus from A.G. Howard's Splintered series. They have an amazing love/hate relationship.

Captain Thorne and Cress from Marissa Meyer's The Lunar Chronicles series. I love how their relationship started out as a miscommunication and ended up wonderful.

Aphrodite and the Nerd Herd in P.C & Kristin Cast's House of Night series. I admire her relationship between her and her warrior Darius but her rocky relationship with the Nerd Herd is not only entertaining but heartwarming as well.

Sophronia and Soup from Gail Carriger's Finishing School series. They love each other, I know they do!!

Which pairs do you think have the best chemistry?

Express Yourself - Thank You

Express Yourself  is a weekly meme hosted by myself and Jackie. It's goal is to help our fellow bloggers get to know one another better by being nosey of course.

Each week we will find something different to post about. It will correlate with writing, blogging, and life in general. Then, we hope, you’ll follow suit and post what it is that motivates you.

This weeks question:

Feb. 2 - 6: What's the most creative way you can come up with to send a Thank You note?
~ Question submitted by J. Lenni Dorner

I think it really depends on...
**What kind of Thank You it is
**Who the person is
**What the person did for you
**And so on.

Usually, depending on what they did for me, I like to send a little something extra. A giftcard maybe, or a book, a scarf, buy them a coffee if they are near, or maybe even take them out to dinner/lunch. I never miss a opportunity to say Thank You!
